Dr Shiva Farabi
With a PhD in Cosmetic Science and more than a decade in advanced skincare and haircare innovation, Dr Shiva Farabi has devoted her career to understanding how the skin and scalp interact with their environment. Before co-founding AGWÉ, Shiva spent years leading innovation in the cosmeceutical space, where she learned how science can truly transform skin health when approached with purpose and care.
For Shiva, AGWÉ was born not only from expertise but from experience. Living with scalp psoriasis and inflammation, and later experiencing postpartum hair loss, she searched endlessly for relief, trying countless products and even medical treatments like minoxidil, only to find her scalp more sensitive and unbalanced. Through this journey, she discovered something simple yet profound: true hair vitality begins with a healthy, hydrated, and resilient scalp.
Her fascination with marine ecosystems, their harmony, renewal, and quiet strength, became the inspiration behind AGWÉ’s ocean-biotech philosophy. By studying how microalgae and marine actives protect and repair in extreme environments, Shiva envisioned a new generation of scalp care that nurtures the skin at its source.
At AGWÉ, she leads product innovation with a focus on sustainability, clinical efficacy, and making science approachable and human. Her work bridges beauty and biology, turning complex research into meaningful rituals that restore confidence and wellbeing.

Adrian De Brock
With more than 20 years in luxury and skincare PR, including six years with a leading cosmeceutical brand, Adrian De Brock developed a sharp eye for scientific innovation, results, and the future of wellness. His fascination with formulation began early, spending countless hours in laboratories questioning R&D teams about the alchemy of active ingredients. Today, he unites that passion for science with his branding expertise and reverence for the ocean to redefine scalp care as true skincare for the scalp.
Raised on Australia’s mid-north coast, Adrian came to see the ocean as medicine: its salt air and rhythmic water was a ritual of restoration. This belief, that the sea holds both memory and healing, now anchors AGWÉ’s ethos.
Adrian’s journey is also deeply personal. Having experienced scalp issues himself, he understood the frustration of over-promised products filled with harsh chemicals and disappointing results. This drove his passion to study trichology, giving him the scientific lens to separate hype from efficacy and to educate others on the importance of treating the scalp with the same care as the skin on the face - knowledge that now drives AGWÉ’s science-led approach.
